    Just finished a 100 minute 6 camera edit using E4. I edited act1 and act2 separately.
With 6 camera tracks plus 4 additional tracks added by E4, the timeline became very sluggish – CTLA took about 30″ to take effect. So after a rough assemble on to master track, I deleted all video tracks except the master track.

    Now here’s the strange thing.
For act2, all my takes got jumbled up. So I checked act1 and all takes were preserved.
I am sure I have missed something quite simple.
    How does V5 store takes?

BTW I have just discovered how to use Audio Bus. It is fantastic for mixing 5 or 6 audio sources.

Deleting the original video tracks should not affect the takes in any way. I’m not sure what you mean by “jumbled”.

After running multi-cam, you can also safely delete the following tracks:
    MasterTally
    MasterOverlay
    MasterTally2

Once Multi-cam is finished, those three tracks are no longer needed.

    That is what I thought.
When I say jumbled up, the active take remains but other takes are not related to the time domain. Bet that does not make sense. Putting it other way, all non-active takes default to an unrelated portion of the entire event.
As I said, this only occured on one veg file. Other was fine. It was probably one-off.

I just “jumbled” my events with Multicam. But it was my error, I had two “2S” markers. (Three camera tracks, and sync markers “1S”, “2S”, and another “2S”).

    Easily fixed.
