I have an Excaliber question for Edward or anyone who might want to help me on this. I’m putting together a photo montage and I’m using the PBS wizard in Excaliber to put some zooms on some of the pictures. My question is what if I need to take a zoom off a picture or two? Let’s say I go through 150 pics and do 50 zooms and then see I need to change 1 or 2 pictures how do I do that without losing the settings on all the rest of the pictures that are ok?

    Thanks,
    Mike Sullivan

There’s a couple of things you can do. If you truly want NO zoom on that image, select it and use the “Reset Pan/Crop” tool in Excalibur. This will remove all panning and zooming. (Panning was added in version 4.2)

If you simply want a DIFFERENT pan/zoom, just open Pan/Crop and adjust the settings on either keyframe (there will be two, one at the beginning and one at the end)

What version of Excalibur are you using? Given the name “PBS Wizard”, this indicates you have not yet upgraded to the most current version. If you have not yet received your new registration number, e-mail me your current registration number for Excalibur 4.x and I will e-mail you a new one for version 4.5.

Mike, I just checked my records and I DID send you a new registration key over a week ago for Excalibur 4.5. If you did not get it, e-mail me a note.

    Hi Edward,

Thanks for the quick reply. I did install 4.5. I just called it PBS from habit I guess.

I know I’m probably looking right at it but what tab is the “Reset Pan/Crop” tool on?

    Thanks again,
    Mike

Remember you can always go to the “Tab Reference” tab and locate the name of any tool to determine on which tab it is located.

Reset Pan/Crop is on the “Repair/Maint.” tab. If you’re going to be doing that a lot, you can also add it individually to the toolbar.
