I am currently editing a music video which consists of RED One footage converted to Apple Pro Res 422HQ. I filmed a few sequences at 120fps & want to speed the footage up by 500% to get it to ‘normal’ speed.

When I open the Speed box, type in 500% and click OK, then reopen to box, it is never 500%, it is always below or above – how do I get it to stick to exactly 500%?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jason.

In cases of drastic speed changes, in yours it’s five times, you can’t expect FCP to respect precise numbers. It has something to do with math algorithm of FCP. Anyway, this sort of deficits in speed comprehension on part of FCP are likely to be neglected.

Thanks for the quick response. Are there any plug-ins that could complete it more accurately? Just out of curiosity.
