EX3 simultaneous recording on both cards

Sorry, I’m a frayed knot.

The only other thing you could do is to connect a compatible HDV deck or camera to the firewire port and get a backup of what you’re shooting that way, or from composite or component out, and of course from the SDI connection.

This feature is not available on the EX series camera, however if you need a redundant recording choice then look into the Convergent Design Nano Flash HD-SDI/HDMI portable recorder. You can record with the SXS cards and to the Nano at the same time.
