EX3 noise
Recently I noticed a light clunk when I turn my EX3 on to camera mode. I never noticed it before, however, it’s possible that I just didn’t hear it as it is pretty quiet. Anyone else have this experience with the camera? It might be just part of normal startup, but I am pretty sure I would have noticed it before if it was.
Should the camera startup be silent? -

Mine does a bit of a click on startup in camera mode when the iris gear is first engaged. You’ll notice that every time you start up the iris will turn momentarily. I think that’s the sound you’re noticing. However, the noise from mine is very slight. My EX1R does the same thing. If you feel your iris is making more noise than it should, or if it starts getting progressively worse then send it in for service.
