I shot some interviews in a controlled environment (small photo studio) with the EX3 HD1080 30p and all was well but now that I’ve imported them into FCP there is a strange flicker, almost pulsating, color shift happening. When I play the footage back in the camera all is well and when I play the footage in the log and transfer window the footage is fine.

It seems to be only happening in FCP.

Is this a common problem and is there a solution for this?

    Thank you!

If the room was lit with fluorescent lights, that’s typical. It’s also a problem. Take a look at the Furnace plugins from the Foundry. They have a flicker plugin just for this kind of thing.

I noticed this same issue on my system, I did a test export and it came out clean… Have you found out what causes it to pulse within FCP?

    Thanks!
