  • EX3 Footage captured by FCP won’t play on other Mac

I captured footage that was shot using a new EX3 into a Mac using FCP. I transferred the footage to a different Mac for editing over the weekend. This second Mac does not have FCP. So, when I try to open the QuickTime files using QuickTime or Premiere Pro (CS4) the files will not play.

I get an error saying I don’t have the right Codec.

Is there anyway that I’ll be able to play these files without using FCS? Or do I just need to wait go back to the original system and convert the original QuickTime files into a different file type?

    thanks-
