Both EX1 and EX3 support embedded audio and time code over HD-SDI as far as I know (not that I’ve tried).

    Craig,
Your speculation is accurate. Both support embedded audio and TC over SDI

Which lends itself to recording onto the upcoming Convergent Design nanoFlash MPEG422 recording unit, using the HDSDI output for 422 vision & uncompressed audio onto CF cards.

I’m looking to buy the EX3. Had a ‘play’ with it yesterday. Bolted the new XS13x Fujinon lens to it. Bit front heavy but I’m looking at the XS17x lens which is a little shorter and lighter and maybe the DV Multirig unit.

    Will be a great system.

    Cheers

Cool. Just had a hands on demo with the ex-3 and the studio setup. Looks like everything is going to work out fine with the embedded audio. Thanks for all your help!
