EX1r card bay “B” wont accept SxS card
The EX 1r card bay “B” will not accept the SxS card. It only goes in 3/4 of the way. I’ve only shot two shows with it and no problems there…. but upon returning to studio the second time, attempting to transfer files with the XDCAM EX Clip Browser V2.6, the 1r wouldn’t accept the card upon replacement. The first bay, “A” is ok. no problem. I’m new to this camera, so I have a lot to learn…quickly, of course!

Make sure you’re putting in the card correctly (sorry to state the obvious).
If you have two cards, try each to make sure it’s the slot and not the card.
Use a bright “pen” light and inspect each slot to make sure there’s nothing stuck inside of slot B. -

and thanks for the obvious questions as well. They seem to be the little buggers that bite the hardest!
but in this case, I did all that….but just to be sure, I”m going to find a brighter light and triple check the path. Neither card goes in past the 3/4 mark. I’ll shake it a little more too. 🙂

Check that there isn’t a small pebble or something like that in there. Make sure you don’t have a significant other who likes working with small beads near your camera 😉

I’ve inspected the “B” bay and have not found any foreign objects. The SxS card goes to a stop whith 3/4′ exposed outside the bay.Any other ideas?
