    [Kent Beeson] “Wonder if SONY EX1R can/will be updated to record 1080p 60 sometime – maybe 1080p at 60fps S&Q mode as well?”
    That would need bit more than just a Firmware update.
    A new processor and a different codec would be needed.

    I was hoping for the same thing. I know the new Panasonic AF 100 and sony compatable camera will shoot 1080p 60 fps

    You are correct. I couldn’t think of the proper Sony camera. Now if they would go ahead and crank it up to 120….:)

    The F3 can produce 1080p 60fps with the use of the 4:4:4 /S-log upgrade key and you will need a suitable external recorder to record to.
