I was wondering if the sony EX 1 is a good camera to do chroma key?

    We need 1080 p at 24 frames.

Is the codec good for post production?

Any tips and advice will help.

    Thanks,

I have a key on my web site shot with an EX-3 that looks pretty good. Check out ronpesteshdvideo.com and play the video at the bottom of the home page.

This post from Juan Martinez is very informative. The short answer is that if you shoot progressive, the EX codec can key well.

Thanks, what about the format, its mpg2?

Is that strong enough for post and color correction.

I will need to load the keyed footage into a 3d virtual scene in 3d studio max then film it in max and render out in rpf sequence to AE for recompositing.

I am a little worried about the mpg2 format. How many bits is it?

Last question, Is ex 1 footage true 1080p?

    Any advice is real welcome.
