EX1 footage import, without the camera
So I was given a load of interview footage that was shot on, what I think was, an EX-1. It looks like whoever was providing the footage just copied everything over to folders and then gave it to us. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to import this footage at this point. I tried using Log and Transfer, but couldn’t get it to work, and just trying to open the associated .mp4 files didn’t work either.
There are two folders: 02 and 03. Their contents seem pretty similar so I’ll focus on just 02.
Within that is a folder called BPAV.
Withing BPAV is a folder called CLPR, CUEUP.XML, MEDIAPRO.XML, and a folder called TAKR. The TAKR folder is empty.
In the CLPR folder, are more folders, sequentially named “EX1-628X_01” where X is 2 all the way through 9.
Within each of those, for example EX1-3282_01, are five files.
EX1-6282_01.MP4
EX1-6282_01.SMI
EX1-6282_01|01.PPN
EX1-6282_01M01.XML
EX1-6282_01R01.BIMOK. I hope that wasn’t too much information, but that’s everything. Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, sounds like EX-1 (or EX-3). Just download the XDCAM transfer software from this link:
https://servicesplus.us.sony.biz/sony-software-model-PDZKP1.aspx
After installing you should find the option File->Import ->Sony XDCAM… Using this plugin rather than Log & Transfer you will be able to import the files.
