EX footage in AVID to dark?
Hi Everybody,
Got a question on importing EX footage in AVID.
The last couple of weeks it happened to me twice that people tell me the footage is a bit dark as they start editing in AVID.
The few FCP users never called me about it.
Is there a chance that the EX footage looses brightness during the import into AVID?
Or is it just coincidence and old fashioned underexposure?Thomas Kist

Most likely difference of monitor screen “gamma”. PC and Apple are not the same and a CRT or LCD “TV” is different yet. This is also apparent when internet “streaming video” is viewed on the different platforms. So much for “convergence”!
