Are you importing MP4 files from the BPAV folder or MXF files into the timeline?

Media Browsing the BPAV folders and then dragging those files into the appropriate bin. Works very well for me.

That seems to be the preferred method, instead of using MXF files.

    Thank you, Steve!

I use MXF files with Sony Vegas and when my coworkers switched from FCP to Premiere Pro CS5 I suggested the same thing, but we found Premiere was taking forever to load and generating tons of conform audio files for 4 tracks of audio when we were only recording 2 channels. I don’t know why or if that’s even related but when they switched to just importing the entire bpav folders within premiere, things got a lot better.
