EX-1 LCD to Viewfinder Conversion?
Has anyone found a decent add-on attachment that can convert
the EX-1’s LCD monitor into an EX-3 -like viewfinder?
Not wanting the limp sock thing I’ve seen.

At last someone as concerned about this as I have been! I too have the ‘sock’ and whilst OK under controlled conditions useless under stress. I have decided that the only effective solution would be to purchase the EX3 finder and find a way to fix it over the screen. Sony want something like £300 just for the spare but the real problem is the practical one. it has to be stable, fixable in a hurry and easily removable. Anyone with ideas????

I posted a while back (with photos) about how that’s an unlikely scenario. I slid the EX3 viewfinder piece (yeah, it’s removable – COOL) off one of our cameras and held it up to the EX1’s LCD. They don’t match up well. Look back a ways and you’ll find that post, I don’t have time to fetch it right now.
