  event video fx preview problem

  I have one event in my project which when I uncheck and check the video fx’s added, the preview window stays the same, any adjustments are not showing making it hard to gauge changes. All other events behave normally and I can check and uncheck fx’s to see on and off.
  I’m not sure what’s happened here, it’s almost as if it’s locked somehow.
  Any ideas welcome.
