Posted by Martin Phillips on February 7, 2013 at 11:28 amHi, Ive just re installed v11 (after giving up on v12). Event snap – just cant remember how to get this right.
At present if i drag 2 events together, and they have fades on them, as they snap together the fades disappear. Can anyone help with this.

February 7, 2013 at 12:27 pmThat occurs because the frames are not quantize, Make sure
Quantize to frames along with Snapping is enabled.
Strange you choose to go back to Vegas 11 when that was the
most unstable and issues riddled version ever, that i kept
speaking of. And the new Vegas 12 is the stable version that
starts putting Vegas back on a steady path.
But that’s how the world of technology is…..lol.Steve Rhoden

February 7, 2013 at 2:36 pmHi Steve,
Thanks for the response and you were spot on…..
uuummmm, Vegas 12….. Well after 2 days of frustration, with more than 40 ‘not responding’ hangs, I did the following:
Uninstalled Vegas 12
Restored my PC by a week, undoing a jarva and quicktime updatesFinished the project in Vegas 11 (with rendered mt2 files from the crippled v12)
This morning, I have worked on v12 (after switching off GPU – read that somewhere) and so far so good – not sure which of these may have resolved the issue, but all seems good at the moment.

February 7, 2013 at 8:43 pmIts all good at the moment because you have switched off
GPU support. Its the complexities of the GPU technology
thats causing the majority of issues for Vegas and other
softwares…. From the inception of the GPU technology
ive hated it and made it known that its gonna lead to varied
issues for consumers, amidst its benefits.Steve Rhoden
