There is something about the event pan/crop that is not intuitive and every time I use it I have to grope in the dark again.

I am trying to take a tight headshot interview out of the middle of one clip, and overlay it in the lower right corner of another clip.

I got the first part figured out, but cannot get it to move to the lower right part of the screen.

If you can help me, thank you.

Use Track Motion to position the cropped clip. Pan/Crop to crop, Track Motion to move.

    John,
Once again, thanks for your help.

I guess the fact that is called pan/crop versus just crop is what confuses me.

I want to have multiple pictures moving into and out of the frame. Does that mean I have to have a separate track for every single movement path?

Is there any way to make the movement particular to the event so I won’t need like 50 tracks to each have a movement?

No, you will only need a track for each simultaneous picture that is on the screen. So if you have 100 pictures but you will only have 4 of them move across the screen at any one time, then you only need 4 tracks. All 100 pictures can reuse the same 4 tracks.
