    Newbie question.

I can control the event opacity, change the intro and outtro envelope, and it’s curve too. But other than that, can I do anything else? I’m looking for a way to keyframe opacity. I have a black matte overtop another event and I want to change the opacity so that it flickers a bit at certain points in the event. This is borderline animation. The alternative is to create a whole bunch of 1-6 frame events with different opacities, but I’m looking for a more graceful solution. I’m coming from Premiere.

    Thanks!

In the Track Header right click and insert Envelope > Composite level.

This gives you a Track level opacity control – double click to insert pivot points and you can ramp opacity up or down at will, just as you might with audio volume or stereo panning.

Great! Thanks! This will work perfect. (Although it’d be nice to have an event-level multi-point envelope, but….)
