    hello,

I am curious if any of you use the Eureka plugins?
And, if so, have you noticed that they seem to disappear from the Application Support/Plugins Directory?

I was trouble shooting some other things and removing some demo plugins and discovered that none of the Eureka plugs are where they are supposed to be and to make this even more bizarre?

Final Cut 5.1.4 is still referencing/using them?
    How is this possible?

I ran a test and added one plugin back to the appropriate folder and then ended up with two instances of it in my Effects Tab within FCP.

    Help please. I’m very confused.

    🙂

FxScript plugins folders can be found in the root library folder (/library/application support/final cut pro system support) and also in the user library folder (~/library/preferences/final cut pro user data) and finally inside the app bundle itself (although they should never be installed there by a third pay or user) … as you noted in another thread, you eventually found them inside the app bundle … sounds like they may have been installed there in error by the Eureka installer.

would you suggest I move them to the correct folder? Or, are they ok in the Control/Plugins directory?

Yes, you should move them, however regardless of how they came to be there they do not belong in the application bundle. Move them into the /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins folder.
