Good morning! Just started playing with essential graphics for rolling credits (background shows up as black). I am assuming that this black background is actually a transparent layer (??) but cannot figure out how I change the background (to a colour or an image for instance). What am I missing? While I am here .. am also stumped as to how to fade out at the end of the rolling credits (video transition effects like a dissolve do not seem to work with the rolling credit) OR alternatively if I deselect “end offscreen” – I would like the final frame to remain on screen for a few seconds. It seems to end abruptly as soon as the final credit appears on screen. Any help is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks!

For me, the final frame is usually a set of logos or of a different text layer.

I usually keep that separate and keyframe to my desire.

You can add a track and apply a solid under the credit clip.

Many many thanks Eric – will play with your idea for the final frame. I tried applying a solid in the track BELOW and the Rolling credit (black) on the track above covers it .. if I put the solid on the track ABOVE my only option is to change the opacity of the rolling credit and when I do it changes the opacity of BOTH the black and the titles no no good. Am I missing something in your explanation? Appreciate you taking the time!
