Error: Your system is not licensed to run this software…
I have just set up my Mac G5, non-Intel, again after moving and I get the following error:
“Your system is not licensed to run this software. Please contact an Avid rep. for further assistance.”
I was running version 4.8.1 and I tried upgrading to 4.8.4 and all is the same. The dongle is attached and lights up. It worked fine before the move, and nothing was changed. Any ideas??? -

A few possible causes:
1. The dongle has failed
2. The Sentinel driver is corrupt, missing or not running
3. USB port could be faulty – try another port -
hi there– one other thing to consider is that your version of avid software may not be optimized to run on your mac os. check your versions os (what about this mac) and your avid specs for your version software. two remedies: 1) clean instal of yourn original os and avid software, or 2) upgrade!
