    hello,
i am trying to render a 4m30sec piece. it makes it through about 30sec and says:

After Effects Error: Not enough memory to process this commcand. (8) (25::60)

im running WinXP, 4GB ram(which i understand AE only uses 2) and i have 1 TB of storage. this has been a frequent error, and ive tried several times to render this and every time i get that error i mentioned, or another:

Could net retrieve frame from video stream. that may not be the exact message, hopefully someone will know what im talking about.

this is really starting to set me back. any help is overly appreciated.

IM NOT SURE IF THIS WILL FIX IT BUT I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM A FEW TIMES. I REMEMBER SAVING THE FILE AS A DIFFERENT NAME, AND CHANGING THE CODEC FROM AVID MERIDIEN TO ANIMATION. FOR SOME REASON THE AVID MERIDIEN WAS CAUSING A PROBLEM. ANOTHER PROBLEM MIGHT BE THAT YOUR COMP SETTINGS DO NOT MATCH UP WITH YOUR CODE SETTINGS, FOR EXAMPLE I THINK THAT AVID CODEC WANTS A 720X486 SETTING, AND IF YOU TRY TO RENDER WITH AVID MERIDIEN CODEC WITHOUT IT BEING THAT WAY IT WILL ERROR.

I’m facing exactly the same issue: “After Effects Error: Not enough memory to process this commcand. (8) (25::60)” although 2GB ram and plenty of HD space. Can anybody help?
