    I BELIEVE I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION.

    Thank you.
    ********************************************************

    I’ve never had a problem rendering, but now all of the sudden I keep getting this error message:

    =====================================================================

    After Effects error: unable to allocate space for a 11649 x 7920 image buffer.
    You may be experiencing fragmentation. In the Memory & Cache preferences dialog box, try decreasing the Maximum Ram Cache size value and selecting the Enable Disk Cache option, increasing Maximum Memory Usage, or both.

    =====================================================================

    I’ve tried doing what it says, but I still keep getting this message.

    Very frustrating.

    If any of you have had this problem or can shed some light on the issue I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks

    I was getting this recently…basically it means you do not have enough RAM to render this comp. If you search the forums you can find alot of answers…but as this JUST happened to me, I’ll throw my solution in: are you pushing an effect past its limits? For me, I was pushing motion tile past its limits. Turned it down, and used two of them to accomplish the same thing as one giant one, and all was well.

    I did find a previous post that answered this for me, but now there is an issue with the render.

    What I did was hold shift, then went to preferences>general>secret and then adjusted it to purge every frame.

    However, now when I render I get these crazy video clitches. All I’m trying to do is ayato web’s Mosaic Tile tutorial in HD. I guess all the tiles could be considered “pushing the limit” because of all the little images flying around but to me this was a very basic tutorial.
