error while trying to capture video
I am a videographer at a university and use Final Cut Pro HD. A faculty member uses FCexpress HD. Yesterday while trying to capture some mini DV video from a camcorder, he would click on ‘clip” to capture and it would start the process of going to the in point and just stop. It would come up with a box saying “General Error”. Being a little different than my program, I tried my usual (except we couldn’t find FCP rescue for Express), repairing privleges, upgrading from Quicktime 7.0.4 to 7.1, and rebooting. Still the same general error. It would however capture the video in I-movie.
