Error while saving project in Sony Vegas Movie Studio
I get this error when i save a project file:
An error occured while saving the project file (file).vf.
The file could not be created.When i had the trial version, i thought this was intended.
Now that i bought the program, it still does not work.Any help?

No, the trial is fully functional. Where are you trying to save the file to? Perhaps you have selected a system area that you cannot write to.

I save them on my desktop and in my personal documents folder.

Wow, that should work. Are you using any AntiVirus software that would disable saving files? That seems odd but you need to figure out why this is happening. Can you post a screenshot of when the error happens? Maybe an illegal character in the filename? Can you save other files to these locations with the same name?

I use windows SmartScreen as anti virus.
It doesn’t matter what the file is called. It could be called Untitled.vf or anything for that matter.

I see that you are using Windows 8. Movie Studio HD 11.0 does not support Windows 8. Why didn’t you buy Movie Studio Platinum 12.0? That supports Windows 8. If you just purchased it I would return it and get the latest version.
Having said that, that is not the reason for your problem. I just installed Movie Studio HD 11.0 TRIAL on a clean Windows 8 PC and it works fine. So the problem is not with Movie Studio but with your Windows 8 PC. Some software that you have installed must be conflicting with Movie Studio. It would be difficult for anyone here to figure out why unless they have experienced it themselves.
Since Movie Studio 11.0 is no longer supported you can’t even go to Sony for support. This is why I recommend that you purchase the latest version. At least you could get Sony to help debug it for you.

According to the SCS site, Movie Studio 11 is in fact still supported. I believe the principle of supporting two latest versions is still valid.
