  Error while importing Image Files– Test your FCP knowlegde here!

  Hi all,

  So (seemingly) out of the blue, I have lost the ability to import any image files into both Final Cut Pro 5 and DVD Studio Pro 4. I’ve tried various formats (tiff, pict, png, psd, even horrible low rez jpegs). Regardless of the file type, I get the same error message:

  File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.

  Yes, the files are RGB and I’ve tried both 8bit files and 16bit files. Having layers doesnt seem to matter. I have no problems importing movie formats, just image files.

  I have never had issues with this before, and can even open projects that have image files existing in the project.

  Perhaps this is a bit hint for me to upgrade to the 2.0 already, but I very intrigue but this error. I am currently running FC 5.1.4.

  I would sincerely appreciate any help with this!
