error when rendering “The specified file is open…”
Recently, I have been getting the following message when I render. It happens occassionally when I am selecting all and rendering or sometimes when I select an in and out and render between.
Nothing else is running when I do this.
“The specified file is open and in use by this or another application”
I also notice I have to hit the apple-R keys a few times to get it to render. Is there something I am missing here.
Not critcal, but a bit annoying. Thanks for any insight.

This sounds like an OS problem… might run Macjanitor and repair permissions, but if this fails, I’d do a reinstall of the OS.

Nothing? Sounds like the classic virus protections message. If you have any antivirus software installed, you must disable it. Better still, uninstall it.
