  • Error when importing TGA sequence

    Posted by Filip Vandueren on March 18, 2007 at 12:17 pm

    Hi All,

    I just rendered out a tga sequence from after effects, now want to re-import.

    I get the error:

    After Effects error: zero denominator in ratio multiply.
    ( 17 :: 17 )

    similar errors have plagued other cow-members but no solution as of yet ?

    I would suspect the ratio regards pixel aspect ratio, mine is square 1024*576.

    I can import every TGA as a footage, but not the sequence. Quicktime pro also has no problem importing.

    Filip, can you try running a do-nothing-but-save PS action on the TGA sequence to, er, “launder” the files?

    Alternately, could you try “force numerical order” when importing? It doesn’t make sense, but you never know.

    Hi Steve,

    allready tried those, even converted to Tiff with graphicconverter, to no avail.

    perhaps a quicktime problem…

    The targa sequence, did you finish the entire sequence from where you rendered that from? I believe that I had a problem before when I rendered an animation from 3DS Max and the entire sequence had not finished. Anyhow, just throwing that out there.
