    Hi guys

I’m trying to bring into my MC5 (MAC & PC) clips that was shot on an XDCAM PMW-EX3 camera through the new AMA tool, and always get this error:
There were errors linking to AMA files. See the console for details.

I looked at the console and this what I got when I tried to do the Link to AMA Files option:
    [ Plugin Name = MVP_MSP_QuickTime Vendor Name = Avid Technology, Inc. Version = 1.0 ] does not support /Users/roiturnoy/Desktop/043_0246_01/043_0246_01.MP4

Do I need XDCAM Plugin to do this?

What do I need to do that it will work?

By the way, the data from the SxS was copied to an external drive.

    Thank
    Roi

Just a quick though – was the BPAV folder structure copied intact?

    Hi

I’m trying to figure it out
What should be the correct BPAV folder structure?

    Hi,

Should look something like the picture found in this thread –

Same issue here. I am running MC5 on Windows 7 (64bit). MP4 files from EX3 were copied onto an external haddrive. I’ve already checked the BPAV folder structure, which is intact. I do point the “AMA import file(s)” dialog to the .mp4 file, correct? Any solution?

My problem was that the file structure was broken. I guess the man who copied the files to the HDD didn’t really know what he was doing…
So if you kept the folder structure intact I don’t think of a reason that it wouldn’t work.
You should try choosing the main root of the folders when using “AMA import Volume”.

    hope it will help you

Got it working. Instead of using “AMA link to file(s)” I have to use “AMA link to volume” instead and point to the BPAV folder. I still find it a little strange that the “link to file” option doesn’t work as expected.
