Here’s something new to me, and I hope not new to you guys….
I’ve been working on a new design from a template file that’s been working very well for a while. Now I can’t render the short animation to the Render Queue. Its only 450 frames and after 25 to 30 seconds, I get an error message
    “Error – Saving Image”
It asked me to check codec settings and write permissions. Write perms are fine. Where do I find codec settings?
Any other tidbits would be helpful.

    Thank you all as ever.

Here are some causes I have run into:

    1) not enough disk space to render out your project.

    2) file name too long and complicated

    3) rendering out movies are sometimes a pain from C4D, it is best practice to export as an image sequence and then build it back together in After Effets, Motion, Premiere, Final Cut, etc, or QuickTime Pro. There are also free compilers, just google them. This way if your project stops rendering you still have something..

    4) also if it is a long animation, make sure the computer’s sleep time or energy saver is set to Never…
