error: opening sound component
Hi All,
I keep getting this message and the audio layers of my project wont play. If i turn my audio layers off then turn them back on, one at time, they then play back. But even when doing this it still is tempramental and I find I have to turn them back on in different orders…..real strange. Any ideas people’s???

I have the same problem with the addition to not being able to render the movie.

It’s likely the problem is Quicktime 7
I rolled back to 6.5 and the problem is gone.Google for quicktime 6.5 for a quick download. Uninstall 7, install 6.5 AE exports audio and video.
You might lose access to iTunes.
