  • error message – wont accept the ‘ok’ click

Hi there….thanks for reading this….appreciate very much

Opening an AE file, and before it actually is completely opened, it shows a message that many files are not found, then it shows another message, an error message. You are suppose to then, click the ‘ok’ button on the error message.

I clicked ok, but the message does not go away.

“After Effects error: zero denominator in ratio multiply. (17 :: 17)”

Kept clicking it soooooo many times, and message will not go away to allow the project to completely open.

What do you think I should do?

It is happening due to proxies in the project. Have had trouble with proxies before. There is a proxy on one of the comps….I can see that as it is trying to open the project

Have tried opening all the saved versions of it, and the same thing happens. Other projects open fine.

    What do you think?

Thanks so much for your consideration.

    Warmly,
    Hope

Hi Alex….odd that it is not here anymore, what Dave wrote. At that time he was a moderator / expert or whatever they all all those guys listed at the top of the forum….at the time. I dont see him listed anymore.

It was 11 yrs ago i asked this. and an earlier version of AE perhaps

I have no idea what he said now. I hope you figure it out. maybe it was delete the preference file? or open the project holding down the shift key….or some such thing?
