Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Error message when i import soundfile

    I’m not sure why you’re receiving that error but mp3 files should be avoided in After Effects. Convert the file to an aif or wav.

    MP3 is a compressed format and will only compress further in AE resulting in audio artifacts.

    Thanks for answering, but as i mentioned the problem happen in any Audio format, I try a lot of .wav files, but the problem still the same.
    I think there is a technical problem, because the first time i ran AE, a message appear telling me about a problem in Audio recording, but i thought i don’t need any recording service at the moment, so that why i check on “Don’t show me this message again”.
    now i have problem with any audio file, also some kind of movies, plus when i try to see my ram render of my video file, there is no sound go out!
    I’m sure there is solution for this problem, but i still don’t find who solve it for me.

    Check your preferences for audio hardware. Make sure everything is correct.

    Dear friends,
    Thank you very much for trying to help, I think it was my fault, i tryed another .wav files, and they are working properly, but in the same times some others doesn’t… I don’t know why.

    btw, from my first post i said i use After Effect CS3.
