Not sure if you are still having this issue but this is what I found:
It’s possible that the file format of your CSV file is causing the “Error reading marker data from file” issue when you try to import it into Premiere or Audition.
CSV is a very basic and universal format for text files, but Premier and Audition might have specific requirements for how the markers should be formatted when they’re imported into the program.
Here are a few things you can try to make sure the CSV format is correct:
- Make sure the marker timestamps are correctly formatted. Premiere and Audition expect timestamps to be in the format hours:minutes:seconds:frames, with a single comma separating each value (e.g. 01:23:45:00).
- Make sure the CSV file has a header row that contains the name of the column containing the timestamps. For example, the first row of the CSV file should be “[Marker Name], [Timestamp 1], [Timestamp 2], …”.
- Make sure there are no empty spaces or extra characters in the CSV file. Double-check to make sure there are no trailing or leading spaces, and that there are no extra line breaks or characters between the values.
If you’ve already verified the above and are still having trouble, you might need to try importing the markers manually into Premiere or Audition. You can do this by opening the media browser, selecting the markers file, and then clicking the “Import media” button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
Once you have the markers imported into your project, you can select them and export them as a sequence of clips using the “Export” menu in Premiere or the “Batch Export” function in Audition. This will give you a new file containing the individual clips, which you can then use to finish your project.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
