    Error. “Couldn’t Open Quicktime output component”

    Hi,

    Started up After Effects this morning and an error popped up that says “couldn’t open quicktime video output component”

    The machine is operating today without the Matrix MXO2. Could that be causing the error. Everything seems to be working.

    I think your correct on what is causing the error Doug. I had the same error after pulling out a Blackmagic card. Deleting the Blackmagic quicktime components solved the issue.
