  • Error configuring control panel. H.E.L.P.!

Posted by Fred Ricci on July 4, 2011 at 10:36 am

I updated to V8 and my wave doesnt work. It works fine with Color so I am assuming its a V8 problem. When I try to configure it, I get a message “Error configuring control panel”.
Does anybody know what I should do?
    Thanks

    Hi Fred,

Can you make sure you have the latest Wave firmware installed, you can find it here :

    https://www.tangentdevices.co.uk/support/software/WFU1_9u.zip

Also you need to select it in the DaVinci Resolve Preferences.

Click DaVinci Resolve on the Menu Bar

    Select the Wave Panel

Click Save and Restart your software.

This should enable the Wave for use in Resolve.

    I hope this helps!

Hi Dan, thanks for the answer.
I already did what you said, but when I press save in the preferences, I got an error message, I hit ok and then I have the message that the preferences were saved and that I should restart, but still no wave for me.
I’ve been using the Resove and wave for 7 months know, everything worked perfect before the update.
I will try to roll back to 7 to see if it works.

I think I’ve found out what the problem was, I had to be logged with the admin account in Resolve to configure the wave. I guess my user account doesnt have the privileges to do it.
    Thanks for your help, Dan.
