Error compiling movie – basic requirements ?
Hello,
I am having problems to export from Premiere CS3.
My project is an 8 minute animation, composed of about 25 Quicktime 1920×1080 files, Codec:Animation.
During export it fails with the message ‘Error compiling movie’.
Should I enlarge my scratch disks ? (they are 140GB free)
Should I get a new graphic card? (using Geforce 7600 256MB)
What to do ??

Is it possible you have mp3 audio in there? That can cause this kind of error.
Convert any mp3 or non WAV audio into WAV. Just export the single audio file out to WAV and replace it.
Otherwise there may be a bad frame somewhere, do you have any large images (JPEGs) in the edit?
Usually the place it shows the error is the trouble spot…

Thanks for the tips,I will be aware of that in my next export if it happens again.
In the mean time I changed the system to Windows 7 64, and it seems that the export works fine.
I guess it was some operating system problem.Thanks for your reply !
