    Here are the facts.

I am trying to output a 90 minute presentation by our CEO. The source file is 19.5 gig SD avi file.

I have tried putting it out as either an WMV or an H.264 8 times and they all fail about 30 minutes in to the encode. I tried breaking it in half (failed), and thirds(Only first third completed). Smaller projects encode with no problem.

I am running Premiere Pro CS4 on a Dell Precision 490. Its running windows XP service pack 3. It has an Intel Xeon processer, that 5110 @1.60 ghz. and 3 gigs of Ram. The Internal hard drive is 68 gigs, with 27.8 gigs free. The source files or on a 500 gig external drive, which is where I’m exporting the file to.

I’m trying to narrow down the cause to one of three possibilities.
    A. It’s too much for the computer to handle.
    B. The file itself is corrupt
    C. It’s a bug in CS4

If anyone can help me narrow it down it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
