    Error Code -36…How do I get around it?

    I keep getting an error code -36 when backing up my files.
    When I use a copying or backup program the program fails with a diagnosis of “Out of disk space”.
    When I copy files over individually I get an error code.

    What is it and how can I get around it to backup my files.

    I’m working on OSX Lion
    and the drives are 8tb Seagate Striped raids (Both raids made of equal size)

    I have to ask. How much free space do you have on your destination storage? And how much data are you attempting to copy there?
