I just installed my new Decklink Extreme board, and I’m having problems capturing using the 5.1 drivers. When I try to capture from a Beta SP deck (or any deck) I get the following error:

    [\dev\CaptainDoby\Backend\Src\Time\Timecode.cpp-1266]

It generates this error when you hit “stop” after capturing. It seems to capture fine with no dropped frames but then this error message comes up when you try to stop capture. The error message occurs in the Decklink DV or Decklink YUV 8 bit modes.

I’m running an AMD Athlon 3500+ system with an ASUS Mobo (A8N-SLI Premium).

The install went fine. Everything seems to be working normally other than this very strange error.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Norman,

Please perform a capture in Blackmagic Deck Control rather than Premiere Pro. Use the Preferences in Deck Control to select an 8-bit NTSC or PAL easy setup. Then perform your capture. Do any errors or error messages occur using Deck Control or does the problem appear to be confined to Premiere Pro? This test will help verify that your machine is capable of capturing uncompressed video.

    Hi Norman

Please as well as the testing mentioned above can ensure that you are using the latest Decklink Driver 5.1.

    HiLuke

I did a test capture using the deck control software and it worked fine. Furthermore, I imported the clip into a Premiere job and it played without difficulty.

I have the latest software for sure… v 5.1, the capture problem seems to be limited to adobe premiere.

I was trying to capture by playing the deck and then pressing record… and scene detect seems to be on by default. By marking in and out points I was able to capture my footage.

Can scene detect be turned off when capturing in a Decklink job? It seems to be greyed out.
