Hi, I got this error when using AE CS3.
    I have a ATI RADEON X1300 Pro – graphics adapter – Radeon X1300 Pro – 256 MB.

    I had 3 layers, 1 solid, 1 text and 1 spotlight.
I wanted to have the light shine on the text and cast
a shadow on the solid layer.
Then I got the error: AE_OpenGL: Failed to generate shadow map (5065::0).

Do you know what could be the problem?

    System:
    Dell XPS 410, windows xp-pro
    RAM: 4gigs
    ATI RADEON X1300 Pro – graphics adapter – Radeon X1300 Pro – 256 MB

How do I find out what version of OpenGL i’m using?

    Thanks

Did you try switching off OpenGL in AE?

Most pros turn it off — it’s not that well-implemented to be useful.
