    Hi Guys,

I am pulling my hair out here hopefully someone can help me. I love FCPX and I have been using it for years but for all its pros there are a few cons especially when rending errors occur. For example, I am trying to render and export my project and I get the error message attached the picture. ”The operation could not be completed because an error occurred while exporting (error -41562).’

FCP makes no attempt to tell you what that error means or how to resolve it, I hope someday the developers can address that because it’s not very user friendly. Do any of you know what this means?

    Cheers

I would try pointing your export at another hard drive.

If that doesn’t work, I would try deleting your cache and try again.

If that doesn’t work, I’d trash FCP preferences (hold command and option, and launch fcp).

If that doesn’t work I’d look to make sure all your plugins are up to date.

Do a search in your browser for “fcpx <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>error -41562″ and you will find several posts. This error seems to mean that FCPX was not able to write on the specified output drive because (1) there is insufficient available space on that drive, or (2) the drive is not formatted properly. There may be other reasons as well.
