September 8, 2006 at 5:53 pmYour problem is that you can’t magically reencode your letterbox stuff into anamorphic, you are going to have to recapture since you have captured letterbox. You can do this with the whole project, just specific timelines, or specific clips, it’s up to you. I would read up on the media manager in the FCp manual and see this article for a basic explanation of how to use the media manager:

A lot of people will say the Media manager sucks, and it does have it’s issues. Any clips with speed changes, any freeze frames you have made might not translate to your new timeline correctly, but there are ways around this. you can search this forums for all of the info. I have had pretty good luck with the Media Manager, for what it’s worth.

September 9, 2006 at 1:27 amthanks for your info. I was able to generate and XML and by not letting it reconnect to the media I then highlighted and batch capture. seems to be working fine.
