Hi, I’m editing source material from canon xl2 at 24p pulldown 2:3:2:3 for a televition program, the time line is 30 minutes, I save the work and quit FCP. When I open it again the message “ERROR -34 Out of memory” is displayed and I can’t open the sequence anymore. Somebody know what is the problem. My sistem configuration is Mac G4 933, 1 GB RAM Mac os 10.3.9 Final Cut Pro 4.5 HD.

Sorry is my english is not very well.

Check your harddrives if you have your render folder set to a harddrive that is full that will cause an out of memory error. In general if your system harddrive if full that will cause general memory errors and performace problems.

Sounds like you have a corrupt file. Take your files offline and one by one reconnect each file until you find the one that is bad. Do you have any Photoshop files in this project? If you do, start with them. To maintain sanity in the future, buy yourself a copy of Disk Warrior and run it anytime you have problems with your hard drives. Just a reminder, this problem is asked on a regular basis, use the search function and you’ll find all the answers in previous posts. Hope this helps.
    Good Luck.
