Hello, i am running after effects 5.5 in OS X, whenever i add audio to the timeline (aiff) i get the following error:-
error opening sound component -2166
any ideas?
i have quicktime 7 installed

Apparently we suspect that the latest version of Quicktime v7 pro is the culprit!
De-installing and reinstalling an older version (maybe 6.5 pro?) should work on MAC for some people.
