Erratic Audio Levels
I am working on a timeline with ten audio tracks and five video tracks.
When playing back, audio levels jump momentarily higher at one or two spots, in a location that relates to other tracks on the timeline. For example, when there is a mix-point on another audio track, the music track gains volume for a second or two. This also happens where another audio track ends.
I am rendering, of course, but this problem persists, even when exporting to a Quicktime file.
I have read but never understood the idea of doing an audio mixdown, where you put a timeline into a new sequence.
Anybody experience this? Tips to prevent it or solve the problem?

Bob,
Trash Prefs immediately. The behavior you are experiencing is completely nutty, thus its a strong candidate for bad prefs.
