  Equipment needs

  Hello,

  I have been looking for this information on the site but unable to find it. I have no problem if someone points me to a great resource–which I expected to find but haven’t yet.

  I haven’t worked in 4K yet but am headed on that road. In the past I generally did my offline editing on my laptop (2010 17″ MBP) and love editing on a laptop. Are today’s MBPs generally solid for offline editing of 4K footage?

  If so, what are the best drives for editing 4K footage on a laptop? I haven’t cut personal projects since 2013 so at that point I was able to use my MBP and a Lacie Rugged with FCP7. Things have changed.

  Any help would be great. Thanks,
