  Equipment for Fiber Transmission

  Greetings,

  I am trying to do research for what equipment is necessary to receive a transmission over fiber from a European TV station. (We are US based in the DC area) And yes, we would have permission from the station to receive their feed.

  I know there are teleport services that offer this sort of service through a fiber backhaul with a partner in Europe. But I have no idea what equipment is needed on both ends.

  I am no Broadcast engineer and I understand that this is not just something that is purchased and plugged in. I completely understand there is more to it, not to mention the fiber equipment. But I would at least like to look in to what it would take to have a direct connection to the station that does not involve our own satellite equipment.

  I would appreciate any information of what pieces of equipment are necessary for this setup to work.
