  • equal speed for text behaviours on different text lenght?

Posted by Rafael Gschwend on April 27, 2009 at 5:17 pm

I would like to put the same text behaviour on different text. But since each text has a different lenght, the effect speed changes. Is there a possibility to equalize the lenght of the behaviour so that it works on each text with exact the same lenght?

    Thank you

Just make the behaviors the same length. But the ballistics of the effect will e sped up, compressed to fit the reduced time space.
Umm, just trying a few things in Motion…looks like it kinda depends on the behavior. Some won’t actually finish the way you expect them to if you compress the time they span.

Give us an example of the long and short text layers’ contents and the behavior you’re trying to apply to each.

    Thank you for the reply

    Here is what I do:

I write about three lines of text, than add the behaviour “Sequence text in from the left”.
Now I copy the text, so that I have two of the same kind.
to the second text I write some more lines.
When I play both texts they fade in in different speed.

Now of course I can lenghten the behaviour by hand to equalize the speed. But with this method they will never fade in with the exact same speed. Is there a better way to do this?
